This blog is not a personal story – it is about a friend who was facing some health issues and she asked me to help her put her thoughts to paper. We were both very pleased with the results– now that she is gone, I am posting it for all of you to enjoy, as she enjoyed sharing it with me.

On becoming an Author in the second half of my life
The first time that publisher Jack Stoddart and his senior executives referred to me as an author, an involuntary giggle escaped from my lips. Deep in my heart, I didn’t believe them.
Payoffs. Right in our faces? You have got to be kidding!
Come on people – time to stand up and protest! When did it become okay for some politicians to hold their hands out right in front of our faces? Did you see the Section 37 and 45 war chests of some of our elected officials?

Past governments didn’t seem to care what we thought. Perhaps they believed that double standards and fiscal irresponsibility would become acceptable if practiced often enough…or long enough.
