So my publisher wants me to focus my blog more on the interesting aspects of being a writer – at least some of the time. I will certainly have some unique tales to share with you about beresheet – the beginning – 18 years ago when I joined the Crime Writers and was a member of PEN.
Two Great books and an extra comment
Now that The 3rd Hole is in the hands of Iguana Books and is being edited, I can finally sit down, just me and my glass of wine, and read some of the books that I love – books about crime/mystery/spies/passion/etc. etc. I want to share with you some of my thoughts about the two that I have just read.
Social Media for this Grandmother! Help! – Part Two
I’m glad so many of you had a good laugh (at my expense) after part #1. As of tonight I am close 1,000 ‘likes’ on my Disqus account -and that makes my sooo happy. But now, as promised, I am sharing some of my unrestrained comments to the world press– Vancouver Sun, Edmonton Journal, London Daily Mail, London Telegraph, New York Times, New York Post, Huffington Post, USA Today ,Montreal Gazette, CNN, Botswana Guardian, Jerusalem …
Social Media for this Grandmother! Help! – a two-part tale of horror and redemption
As most of you know, my fourth book, The 3rd Hole, is being published in April. Last August I met with Greg Ioannou of Iguana Books and we made the deal. Hurray! It has been ten years since my last novel, Final Justice was published. And oh how the world has changed since then.
The Company of Women – Simply the best! Part 3 – moving on
The story – so far. In 1991 I was sent to the Vanier Prison for Women for six weeks. My crime? I was a volunteer signatory on a renovation grant. My colleagues were never charged.
The Company of Women – Simply the best! Part 2
The girls and I are dining at Centro and as we started on our second bottle of wine, our conversation moved to new topics and entered a question and answer mode. Men, Books, Sex and the Vanier Centre for Women – not necessarily in that order.
The Company of Women – Simply the best! A three part story of friendship and fun
Blogs are often personal stories as this one shall be. But now I am having second thoughts about how much I should really share with you and how much I should edit in order not to shock, or offend those of you who will be reading it … especially now that so many of you do.
Thrillers & Whodunits
Last week I was full of praise for those two books that I finally had the time to read. This week I was disappointed in one of my two reads – the thriller – and I would love your take on it.
Whodunits, Spy Stories and Intrique – Love those books and their writers
I love to read books that keep me hooked right to the last page – sometimes I can figure out before the end whodunit – but not usually.
A Remembrance of Things Past
This blog is not a personal story – it is about a friend who was facing some health issues and she asked me to help her put her thoughts to paper. We were both very pleased with the results– now that she is gone, I am posting it for all of you to enjoy, as she enjoyed sharing it with me.
