In order to make sure that my latest novel, The 3rd Hole, succeeds in today’s competitive milieu, I have to come back into the public domain to garner as much P/R as possible. The first step is to prepare my kids and close friends that Uglies about me will soon be back in the news.

So… The 3rd Hole is in the final stages of editing – I am meeting at Iguana’s office next week to go over their suggestions and prepare for the re-write that is always necessary in any book before it is launched. This is my fourth book, I’ve done it before. So what’s the problem? The problem is… Sex!
We were having dinner last night with good friends and talking about TIFF, and anti-semitism –subjects that will soon become bigger news (too bad about that). Then my friends switched the conversation to the topic of writing a novel.
So my publisher wants me to focus my blog more on the interesting aspects of being a writer – at least some of the time. I will certainly have some unique tales to share with you about beresheet – the beginning – 18 years ago when I joined the Crime Writers and was a member of PEN.
Now that The 3rd Hole is in the hands of Iguana Books and is being edited, I can finally sit down, just me and my glass of wine, and read some of the books that I love – books about crime/mystery/spies/passion/etc. etc. I want to share with you some of my thoughts about the two that I have just read.
Last week I was full of praise for those two books that I finally had the time to read. This week I was disappointed in one of my two reads – the thriller – and I would love your take on it.
I love to read books that keep me hooked right to the last page – sometimes I can figure out before the end whodunit – but not usually.
